There recently have been a few lighthearted articles about books in my Crime of Fashion series and an interview. I just wanted to share them here.
If you'd like to know what kind of chocolate my book Death on Heels would be, and my idea of a perfect day, check out this fun interview at Mysteristas, a fabulous and informative blog. The interview questions were offbeat and fun. Here is the link: http://mysteristas.wordpress.com/2012/08/1 6/interview-ellen-byerrum/
I'm very happy to note that Patricia Streeter's fashion blog Magnify Your Style reviewed Death on Heels. She also believes in looking for fashion in unusual places, like Lacey. The link is http://magnifyyourstyle.com/2012/08/08/d eath-on-heels-a-crime-of-fashion-mystery-r eview/
Chick Lit Cafe wrote a fascinating comparison of the book and the Lifetime Movie Network film of Hostile Makeover. It's a great piece and I found myself agreeing with their points and interpretation. Note: HM and Killer Hair first aired in June 2009, but have been broaadcast occasionally since then. A lot of people have asked whether there will be more movies, but none are planned at this point. And speaking of the movies, I thought I'd throw in some completely gratuitous shots from the day of filming that I observed. Although the movies were largely shot in Canada, the filmmakers traveled to Washington, D.C., for exterior shots and a few outdoor scenes. It was a very chilly day in March 2009 and the actors spent all their breaks trying to get warm. Here are Maggie Lawson as Lacey Smithsonian and Victor Webster as Vic Donovan, between scenes on the lawn near the Jefferson Memorial.

Shooting in front of the White House was a big highlight. This was my big walk-on moment. Victor and Maggie are in the street, I am the redhead in black.

The next picture I am posting just because I can. (You would too.) Here I am with Victor Webster between scenes on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial.

Which is a darn shame!
And I want to see more of my fellow Louisvillian, Maggie Lawson.
I really enjoyed the films, and you looked fabulous!
